Hi there,

I'm trying to fill out the FO application for Qatar and I've hit a snag.

Question Number 35 asks "What is your relevant experience in FM?

What the hell is FM? Flight Management? FMS? Field Marshall? Flatulent Melons? Fat Mommas?

I'm a U.S. Pilot and it's not a term that I've come across .

Anybody know?

What ever FM might mean.. Check their website under career section..
Seems they are not hiring FOs anymore..

Hello Stratopilot1,

in field 35, just enter the hours flown on aircrafts with Flight Management
system.
Qatar Airways is hiring F/Os and Captains on all fleets,--although the application link "narrow body" needs to be updated.

All the best and we do need you!

I wonder what sort of impact, if any, all this recruitment has had on the guys on the line. Thinking specifically of those horrendous A320 rosters we saw several months ago.
Surely a steady influx, Spanair, of type and non type rated pilots must have eased the pressure a bit?
Stig :ok:

Peter Arno might suggest that in the context FM means Flights to Mecca.

Considering that Mecca doesn't have an airport that would be quite a feat.
