Whilst living in the UK, I have had occasion to correspond with 3 of my MPs, and had a good chat with Call me Dave before he became important. Every individual (of whatever party) gave prompt and helpful advice, standing up for my cause and obtaining any info I needed from Ministers.....
....however, as a group, they are mostly selfish and generally useless.
Is there a sociologist in the house who can explain why?
p.s. I now live in Canada and have found exactly the same, apart from the fact that more Federal politicians and Provincial leaders (though sadly not mine) are prepared to take tough decisions.
