I put politics aside in this one, it is very simple really. Given the dreadful and vile act recently commited in London we need a referendum on getting out of the EU. This will then allow us to hang the person responsible as the EU wont let us deal with this scum in a more appropriate manner!!!
We need to have a grown up debate about the return of the death penalty, with better technology these days, all doubt can be removed and make a hanging safe (judicially speaking of course, not that safe for the recipient) The time has come that we re-instate the ultimate sanction, not only as a befitting punishment, but also as a deterrent to others! What do we think folks......

Well, you can't put politics aside on this one as it was the politicians that killed off the death penalty before the EU was invented!
And, unless the UK also pulls out of the EEA agreements, which would harm the UK economy, then the "EU ban" on capital punishment would still apply.
(I think we all know my views on this though. Nothing like a good execution to entertain people on a boring sunday after being dragged back from the local watering hole)

Did the voting public in the UK vote to enter the EU? After doing a quick search on the web I can't find any evidence of such a vote. This was confirmed to me in a Yorkshire pub with the reply no and #%*^ the EU when the question was put to a local last time I was in Britain.

Not the EU as it is now but as originally known The Common Market.

I am generally in favour of remaining in the EU.
But might change my mind if leaving it meant we could chuck out most of the 'commonwealth' immigrants.
