Pilotest- Pattern test

Hi I was wondering if anyone has any good advice on how to improve my score on the pilotest software when I'm doing the Pattern test. Any useful/ meaningful advice would be appreciated. I'm finding it very difficult to pick out the shapes.

Yep, it is very difficult. At the end of the timer, I was getting about 20-25 correct. Not sure how they expect you to get 40 :}

Isn't it an aptitude test? Surely these tests are scientifically designed to disregard the effect of practise on the result?

If not, they're hardly fit for purpose?

I am having the same problem as well, anyone could share any tips or the practice software would be greatly appreciated thanks
