I know there is a whole sting of posts regarding DUIs and I hate to add to them. But here I go. I have DUI and possession charge from 8 years ago both misdemeanor charges. i currently hold ATP in the states, and have a job offer to work in the UAE.

Does anyone know how these charges will affect my medical license or pilots license with the GCAA?

The FAA is only concerned with re-accuring charges or charges within the past 5 years. Is this going to be about the same with the GCAA?

-Thanks for the help.

Should be no problem, assuming not on your formal FAA licence status document that the FAA will provide upon request.

As to any declaration on medical issue, (a la FAA), I do not think there is a problem there either.
