Hi all ,

What does a ground operation officer do while operating an aircraft?

only doing load & balance sheet and starting boarding? or else?

how does he/she get ready for an aircraft operation?

Kind regards..

When you say Ground Operations officer i think you mean a Dispatcher, Red Cap or Turn round coordinator!

There's a really nice website opsontap.eu who offer an online training course to gain a broader knowledge base on the Turnround Coordinator (TRC) function.

Generally a TRC having completed one flight will go onto the next. In some cases he/she will dispatch multiple flight simultaneously. No day or job is the same. Much depends on where the job is located and who you are working for. There can also be hours of tedium and boredom whilst waiting for the next flight so there's plenty of time to learn more about the job.

Hope this helps but there's more to it than you have mentioned here. Always nice to welcome new blood to the industry.
