Just to let you know in advance that BBC4 will be screening the first of two programmes entitled "Jet! When Britain Ruled the Skies" on 22nd August at 9pm. The first programme is called "Military Marvels" and will feature British military aircraft from the earlier years of the jet age.

Those of you who attended the V Force reunion at Newark in April will recall that the BBC were there interviewing people for the programme, so if you were interviewed this will be your chance to see yourselves on TV (those of you who didn't end up on the cutting room floor, that is!).

Here's the link to Newark Air Museum's site, with more details:

Excellent! I'll make sure I've got a DVD-R primed and ready!

I hope the weather for their second visit was better than it was on the V-force reunion day.....:(

Does it include the accident and mortality rates in the earlier days?

The producer and film crew (from BBC Birmingham) also did some filming for this documentary at Wellesbourne with XM655 and former AVRO test pilot, Tony Blackman, in glorious weather (remember that?!) a few weeks after the V-Force Reunion.

I'm looking forward to seeing the finished film.....:)
