Thanks to the Tucano pilot practising his aero's over Whitby this afternoon, certainly gave me, and others, something to watch and enjoy !!

Don't shoot the messenger but I over heard someone say the RAF don't do aeros they do "swooping"...

I did my Tucano FHT aeros over Whitby (a few years ago now) and received the accolade of them being 'agricultural but flown with spirit'!

This was actually the high point of my aerobatic performance as up until that point I could barely recognise the manoeuvres myself - and usually faced questions from the back seat of 'So what exactly was that?'!

You flatter me Sir! I'm pretty sure the question was genuine!

T'was a great day that I arrived on my first squadron equipped with warplanes to find aeros had been replaced by BFM, and no-one gave a toss if you could do the first so long as you could do the latter!
