A friend of a friend is urgently seeking a chopper to do an aerial search on a mountain near huaraz in the cordillera blanca for a pair of overdue climbers. Altitude about 6000m. Money no object. Ground ops are already underway but knowing the location I can understand why a help could help by delivering photos if nothing else. Can anyone suggest any appropriate contacts ? If do please pm me or email david_sharman(at)yahoo.com .

Many thanks - original request below:

A friend of mine*Ben Horne and his climbing partner Gil Weis, *are missing climbers who were attempting the South Face of Palcaraju (Peru) and are overdue by 5 days. There are rescue operations on the ground however there is an urgent need for an aerial support to send imagery to the rescue team on where to look. At this point there is no issue with funding – but availability of planes. To aggravate all things- tomorrow is national holiday- Independence Day. If you have any contacts within the government of Peru or the National Guard of Peru pls contact them and ask for help to arrange a plane. Any assistance would be appreciated greatly. We have a contact on the ground in Peru:*Ted Alexander +51 (1) 943 919 85.*
