It seems it was a rope-way, due there are no power lines in that zone.

Edit
From Eurocopter SIN
EUROCOPTER informs you of an accident involving a military type COUGAR helicopter. The accident occurred in France on Wednesday 25th of July, 2012.
The AS532 AL helicopter was performing a final verification flight before delivery. There were 6 EUROCOPTER employees aboard the helicopter who did not survive the accident.
Initial findings made at the site of the accident indicate that the helicopter might have struck an electric line. The investigation is ongoing. It is headed by the BEAD (Air Defense Accident Investigation Board).

RIP

Is that Patrick B and Gerard G?

That's shocking and desperately sad to hear. I had a lot of contact with them both a few years ago and thoroughly enjoyed their company. Terrible.

I do not think the same guys: Patrick D...d and Gerard D...o.
The Cougar was, if my info is right, belonging DERH (overhauled)
