Hmmm why do I expect that China will start making noises about Taiwan very soon.........

No chance in the forseeable future. Any physical attempts to recover Taiwain would bring sanctions that would ruin its export industry and growth. There are still a billion Chinese waiting for their turn to be part of this economic miracle and military adventures wont help. The Chinese are also fed up with fighting each other, they have been doing it for thousands of years, and the new generation doesn't care whether Taiwan is part of the Mainland or not.
