Where's the best place to get a LARS between Westcott and Northampton during the restrictions?

If you mean from which LARS agency: try Brize Norton on 124.275 MHz (http://www.ead.eurocontrol.int/eadbasic/pamslight-83E0911C7DF633C9FAD72D0A891F5E14/7FE5QZZF3FXUS/EN/Charts/ENR/NON_AIRAC/EG_ENR_6_1_6_3_en_2012-06-28.pdf)

I don't think they're active at weekends? Maybe they are?

They and some others are IIRC H24 during the Olympics period. It's all in the ASI guide somewhere, which I can't be bothered to trawl through right now. I seem to recall Benson has extra staff but whether that extends to weekends is another matter.

Brize are doing a SUPER Lars service during the Olympic period 0900-2200 daily! (Normally 0800-1700 Daily)

Page 109 (+/- a page ) will tell you all you need to know about current restrictions around that area. Just be advised. Many gliding activities have relocated to Bicester, Thame and other. Airspace North and East of Bicester was very busy today!
