Hi guys

Whats the cheapest airfield in the Midlands, UK for an annual check on a single engine aircraft?

Ive called tatenhill airfield near me and they want £40 an hour x 40 hours, excl VAT.

That seems reasonable don't you think. Take your car to the garage, how much are they charging for an hour? About twice that? Maybe more?

yeah im sure it is reasonable :) but there maybe somewhere that does it for £35 an hour. Im just shopping around :)

As Avioncar says you pay a lot more for a car to be fixed per hour.
With the training, premises rent , tooling and human factors compliance costs I would be very wary of anywhere under £45 per hour.
Do you just want an annual signed off or do you want to be safe in the air???

Yeah of course also want to be safe in the hour, as you can imagine there still maybe places that charge £50+ per hour but take 20 - 30 hours. Rather than 40 hours at £40 an hour if you get me.

So im just after reccommendations of any places that are good in the west midlands that might be cheaper than £1600 + VAT for the Annual.
