Does anyone know what date or year the transpacific flight to SYD was changed from the 707 to the VC10?

Was it originally a Standard or a Super?

Someone will be along very shortly ...

Probably 1970.
My uncertain memory tells me that the BA531s via SFO were 707s and the BA591s via LAX were SUVs

Taken from Charles Woodley's BOAC, An Illustrated History, p168:

On 28 October 1969 BOAC's first transpacific VC10 service to Australia via Los Angeles arrived at Sydney.
It does not say whether this was a Super or Standard VC10 and I don't have a timetable from that year either.

The first time I operated the trans Pacific route was 22/05/70 but it had been operating for some time before then . The aircraft through out the trip was a Standard VC-10, but by the time I managed to get another trip [I was very junior at the time] it was on 29/03/71 and the aircraft then was a Super VC-10
