Hey. I'm just wondering how is the aviation industry is in Asia? specifically countries like Japan, Korea, Malaysia. do airliners there hire foreign Second Officers fresh from flight school? so around (250 hours) I heard Asian airlines are expanding quicker than the European airlines, it looks bright there if you ask me. but the pay is very low compared to places like Middle east/Europe, is that true?

I qualified last year and haven`t had much luck getting a job in Euroland. Due to recent circumstances myself and my partner are taking time out from the rat race and going travelling for 6 months to Asia.
I was thinking as I will be in the area for 6 months I will try going directly to operators and handing in my CV. Has anyone had success doing this?

AIMINGHIGH123...... if you going to indonesia bring your USD you need to pay for your typerating... nothing for free. indonesia has gone quiet on hiring expats. try Halim airport some operator there was hiring.. i heard a few guys paid for BAE146 typerating..and try aunty SUsi.... thailand, philippines is a very slim chance. malaysia no expat first officer. Singapore nope unless with good hours.
Good hunting...
