Just looks like a glorified Shooting Stick to me and they been around for a long time.

I used to frequently use a shooting stick when wandering around shows etc.

Looks like someone's found a use for that old drafting table tossed in the back of the drawing office when CAD came on the scene.

Yeah, darn place hasn't had the plasterin' finished, and no bleedin' carpets.

Take the wheels off that ol' bike, attach them to the drawing board cum seat, make a fine soapbox racer - and you could work at the same time !

Actually, I thought that seat was modified from one of those poxy folding scooter things.

When I worked for a short while in a drawing office, it was seriously proposed that we should replace our existing drafting desks with something like this - and that was 45 years ago. Nothing new and all that . . .

but has anybody ever used anything like that?
And actually I'm quite serious - it IS a torture for me to stay put for hours (when translating). Would it be easier with a stand-chair like that?

Years ago, I am talking late 1960's, there was a brief fashion for a kneel/sit affair, exactly like that but kneeling.
