I still hold a Korean passport and speak Korean fluently
I have a ICAO CPL was wondering if Asiana or Korean air had any cadetships available?
I've been looking around for contacts but most are for expats....maybe I can join as a expat one day but right now I'm just seeing if they had any cadetships available.
Any info/advice would be great.

You can apply at Asiana or Korean Air depending on your hours and eligibility:
1. Do you have 250 hours (incl 50 multi)? If so, you can apply at Asiana.
2. Do you have 1000 hours total? If so, you can apply at Korean Air/Jin Air.
3. Do you have 500 FO airline hours? If so, you can apply at Air Busan.
Are you a dual national? If so, give up on your Korean citizenship and apply as an overseas Korean as they will sponsor D-7 visa. They don't care as long as you are an ethnic Korean.
If you are not a dual national (that is only holding Korean citizenship), have you completed the military service? If so, you can apply, if not, you are not eligible.
But you have to convert your ICAO CPL to Korean CPL which involves passing CPL Air Law (can be done in English, I did it in Korean, wasn't so difficult) and an oral test with an examiner. Oh yeah, also Radio Telephony, pay the fee and sit in the class from 9am till 5pm and then you get your license.
p.s: The competition is so tough at Asiana Airlines since all flying school graduates are trying to get jobs at Asiana. I was told that other LCCs won't even look at you if you don't have 737NG TR.
