FWIW, the main reason I became a pilot was to hang out with Beautiful Stewardesses.

But awhile ago, as my friend says, THE GENE POOL REORIENTED itself to the silicon valley and guys who could make a fortune with computers.

thoughts?

What a slur on the present cabin crew , your dream Stewardess ie public boarding school , swiss finishing school ex twin set and pearls in Tatler and part time model were a dream they went with the introduction of Wide bodied jets and short lay overs [no more 5 days in Fiji or some other exotic location ] the present Cabin crew I have had pleasure to speak and be served by are very hard working, and as an old SLF who can remember the 50s onward think the service on the modern aircraft is excellent . On a trip to San Francisco I jokingly asked one of the ladies if she was going to enjoy the fleshpots of the town that night she replied "No I'm going to do a bit of shopping and then straight to bed as we do the return tomorrow afternoon "are the glamour.

I inferred that the OP meant that the ladies had transferred their affections from pilots to computer engineers.
I've always told my girls that engineers are good marriage material but to no avail ;)
Being a pilot IS more fun.

I'm with you there Basil you do have more fun I always thought it was the "off white overalls" and our aftershave of Jet 1 fuel that put them off.

I understood what he meant. Just like I didn't find out that doctor made so damn much more money than pilots, until it was too late. :{

Have you ever noticed that the more beautiful the stewarddess, the more accurate she is at spilling boiling coffee into your groin? Must be some kind of training at play there....

The trouble with legacy airlines is they have legacy stewardesses.

Got off a flight to the far East recently and decided I actually fancied my wife more than I fancied any of the stewardesses and she has a free bus pass too!

On an Emirates flight recently I was payed so much attention by one of the flight attendants. Nothing was too much trouble. After a while it developed into far too much attention and positive one way flirting. All the other passengers noticed and it was getting quite embarrassing. I was flattered however and had to calm things down a little.
His name was Nicolas! :eek:

The model/actress doing the AF safety briefing is an absolute honey. If they all looked like her us old farts would be fighting each other to fly AF.

Read a report about 30 years ago that said the smell of engine oil was a big turn on for ladies. Been wearing a dab of Duckhams 20/50 behind the ears ever since.
