Hey Guys

Im going to Vegas in a few weeks, and I've always wanted to get a ride in a B47 or a UH-1 Nam style ;-) pref the B-47

anyone know of anyone, anywhere within reasonable driving distance where one can get a ride ( and a little stick time, have an EASA PPL working towards CPL )

thanks a million

Let's get this right. You are looking to fly a six-engined Cold War warrior with a PPL.

That thing looks like it could do with a bit of a tune up.

Have not seen any flying around here at all, seen on a few months back in a hanger in Boulder City, NV (about a 30min drive from the Vegas strip). It was looking like it was in the process of restoration. Still have not actually seen it flying though. Will ask around and let you know what I come across though.

Cloud9 Helicopters in Florida had one flying the last time I was there in 08. I presume she's still there. Lovely machine!

Have a look at Chino airport there are a lot of warbirds. Ask around for Zemlock they had B47 some time ago but their website does not exist anymore.

EC155mech, sad to say that I have had no luck in tracking down a Bell 47 here in Sin City. The one I talked about in Boulder City is still in restoration, which is on hold due to lack of available funding for completion. If any new news comes about will let you know...Sorry my friend.

Hey, if you can't find a '47 to drive, how about the next best thing!

These guys used to have a 47 available in Los Angeles area, about a 4 hour drive. You'd have to check with them to see if it's still there.
