Have to admit - if I was the pax concerned and was facing a £30-£40K bill from Thomson (or whatever you get hit with when a passenger plane makes an unscheduled landing) I'd be questioning why they couldn't just have carried on to the planned destination and have me arrested then, given that I wasn't trying to deal the drugs or use them on board.
Then again, the pilot might well have done the guy a favour - am sure he'd have got more than a 3 year conditional discharge in Kenya!!
