In reference to Qatar Airways. What is the policy on de facto relationships? Do de facto spouses get the same rights in regards to free tickets as married couples do.

In the Gulf states, if one aren't legally married, it's illegal;so somehow I would doubt any "spouse" benefits would be available....some correct me if Im wrong..

There is no recognition of defacto relationships within the Islamic world.

The system here is very clear-cut (if archaic), either you are married or you are not. You will also need to produce the piece of paper proving marriage, they will not accept a "civil union" or any such modern (liberal) process.

So your option is to either marry, be single or don't take the job.

Good luck.

The fourth option is to take the job and accept that your partner must pay for tickets like any other passenger, obtain his/her own health insurance, visa, etc. - just don't expect any "benefits" to accrue to this person from your job.
