Hi
FTN reported that the CAA were advising independent FIs to register as an RTF before July 1st.
Can someone explain the process and where to find a link to the application form, please .
Sadly, my google skills are not up to finding the answer.
Many thanks

I bet they as it costs a heap of dosh to do it.

Wouldn't have thought you would have needed to do it unless you are doing intial class and license training and haven't got another RTF to hang off.

And thinking about it that would mean all the self employed FI's would have to get their own RTF.

http://www.caa.co.uk/docs/33/SRG2188FFenabled.pdf

is the link to the RTF application form. You now have until 17th September as the CAA have delayed EASA implementation, however they will probably insist any applications are submitted a month before that (as before) to allow for any mistakes etc to be corrected.

Not sure how a freelance could meet the requirements - you need to have a fixed base - but anyway, there it is!

It can only cost less than the EASA plan !!!!

But no doubt still expensive

Only one tenth of the EASA plan, then.

I presume you refer to an RTO rather than RTF?

Yes, you can have as many additional bases as you want - at an additional fee for each one!! Fill in section 11, must be signed by the aerodrome manager and you need to provide details of your facilities. Every extra base is £53.
