Transfer of medical records

Hi guys hope you can give me a little help here, and hope I am posting in the right place. I have not had much luck finding the answer to my question.

I currently have a UK issues JAR class 1 medical and my licences are UK issued.

I am under the impression that if I want to change my state of licence issue, they need to have my medical records transferred to them.

Does anyone know what would be involved with getting these transferred from the UK to say Portugal or Spain - how much it costs, who I need to get in touch with and how long it takes?

The easiest way is to request a copy of your medical records from your GP or hospital and then send it abroad yourself. There is a fee payable for copying your notes.
