Can anyone please confirm this with me. I have a FOC which is as usual is showing waitlisted. When I asked the lady at staff travel how I will be notified if it becomes confirmed. She told me that I will not get an email. When I asked her if I check "I cannotjourney" will I be able to see it there, she said no.
When i asked her how will I then know if I'm confirmed, she said that I need to go to the airport 2 hours before my flight and hope that the system shows confirmed.:ugh:
Surely this is not correct! Has anyone got an answer to this? Has anyone had their waitlisted FOC upgraded to confirmed and found out before going to the airport?

I've received similar 'guidance'. Cancelled the FOC's [you CAN do that in iJ!!!], bought full fare J for the family on a competitor as we've a schedule to meet.
Sad really. And bloody expensive!:ugh:

Go to checkmytrip.com, or download the checkmytrip app for smartphone/ ipad.
Enter in your 6 letter booking locator and your name
It then retrieves your reservation & e-ticket direct from Amadeus for you to view latest status

Thanks Freehill, that is cool. Have you used it when it said confirmed instead of waitlisted? In other words is the information accurate?

I have checked one I have on iCannot and it now shows as confirmed under the "current bookings" when previously it was waitlisted. I would have thought it simple to send an email when the status is changed but then again!

Frogman - yes, seems to be accurate. Will also show ID90 bookings. Doesn't give any information of chance of getting on though.

Problem is though even if it says confirmed, and you pay for accommodation and other connecting flights. You will most likely get to the airport and hear the lovely words, "sorry but we have a weight problem and it doesnt look like you will be travelling". Just buy a ticket with another carrier and enjoy the break, save yourself the heartache. :{

I went to the staff registration at CLK with a waitlisted FOC and was told by the staff that a non-confirmed FOC does't register in the system! It seems to me that the priority 11 made absolutely no difference to the priority 26 either.

If you're waitlisted, you have to register at the airport 2 hours before departure to keep your priority and seniority. It's in the FAQ's.
