JAA is an ICAO license. so every country that says ICAO license, accepts yours.

Not true Roope, if I want to fly in America I need a FAA licence and CAA for Canada

Yes but both those countries don't instantly validate ICAO licenses.

Most countries will not just let you fly the local reg.

You will either have to get you license validated ie a paper work exercise involving money.

Or there will be additional hoops to jump through like getting a local medical and doing an airlaw exam flight test etc. then they will issue you with a local ticket.

Some only accpt ATPL's and not CPL's others its both.

BHD I have worked in 3 countries outside of the UK,
2 required me to do there Air Law and HPL and then validated my UK or FAA
ATPL whichever was easier to validate. I continued to get the medical for the
Licence they used for validation.
3rd country used at the time (9+ years ago) the old UK system so I got
a 1 to 1 conversion of UK ATPL to Local ATPL plus had to sit Air law 1 and 2 which is the old CAA papers.
Just depends on the country mainly, Regards,

Hi,

I have about 1200 hours total time, I am planning on writing my SAMRA and SARON exams, I have all the required hours except the total time of 1500 hours. My question is does anyone know if they ask Performance or Weight and Balance questions in SAMRA exams ?? I am planning on writing the SAMRA exam first.

Appreciate a feedback.

Thanks
