Garmin 328 Transponder - Change of details

Hi Guys,

I've just changed the registration on my aircraft and I need to re-programme my transponder to reflect the new one. I'm trying to avoid a 90 minute round trip to my avionics company.

I know it's in the setup/configuration section of the transponder. Anyone know how to do it ?

I just did it for a Funkwerk transponder by finding the manual on the internet. Try a google search for your manual; I'm sure that you will find what you need in there!

Since you can't check your Flight ID is being sent correctly without using a ramp test set, you really should go to your avionic shop for this. Gama at Fairoaks can handle it for you.

Switch off. Press function and keep it pressed whilst you switch the transponder back on. Now you are in maintenance menu. Scroll through to the reg, change it and switch off.

Is that also Mode-S?
