I'd start off thinking "Oh Gawd!" and lose interest.
During the briefing, I invariably pay attention and do not read a newspaper; for this outfit, I could make an exception.

I don't mind this kind of levity as it does get the passengers attention, (except Basil, who is 'staff' anyway!), just so long as they can all get their act together if there is an emergency.
