Well, there are 2 more RAF serial numbers in the block allocated for C-17... if those are filled, then there will be as many C-17s in the RAF as there were Belfasts. :ok:

It was the ED test bird which has been around the block a few times and has probably been overstressed just a little too! :eek:

There are 2 more RAF serial numbers in the block allocated for C-17...

Any more RAAF serial numbers allocated? ;)

the only way the RAF ever got any in the first place was because someone in MoD figured out that by "renting" them they'd be off balance sheet

once they proved their worth they were allowed to buy outright
