Do they hire first officers as well? Or just captains?

I got the job with Xiamen Airlines. Just waiting for the license validation before i can start the training.

Flight service singapore wants to have a roadshow in Stansted, UK, if enough pilots wants to attend in early september.
They hire only captains. PM me if you are interested in the roadshow.

I have never met a pilot in China, that knows a pilot in China, working for GPS. If there are any it might be Hainan Airlines, as until recently no reputable agency was recruiting for them.

There are dozens of scam Chinese recruiting agencies, most of which have zero clients under contract.

For the most part you will get one shot at working in China. If you screw it up, you may never get another chance. If your agency, with zero experience, screws it up, you also won't ever get another chance.

I would recommend choosing your agency and airline very very carefully. For agencies I would only recommend Parc or Wasinc.

I think Xiamen is a decent airline to work for. Maybe one of the better ones. Xiamen is one of the best places to live in China, if not the best. This last opinion came from every expat that I have met that lives in Xiamen. All of them like it there.

FSS were scheduled to be doing screenings and sims for Xiamen in London this month - they have not managed to sort out their own visas to get in the country and the interviews have now been delayed until April! That is an indication of the level or organization you can expect over there. It made me laugh out loud when I heard that. Great advert for efficiency! :ugh:

Just noticed Contractair are advertising for Xiamen . It is the only contract in China that they appear to be working with I dont see many agencies offering this contract. But I do hear that Xiamen is quite a nice place to live and work , not so pollutted as elsewhere.
