Are there any other airfield operators out there refusing to pay Ofcoms massive price hike?

This is only the start, if you want a ground radio station you are going to have to pay. It is being phased in over 3 years so it has not peaked yet.

Yes.

Strathaven is now marked on the charts with "Area of Intense Microlight Activity" after three Airproxes with helicopters last year.

Considered getting a FISO to permit an ATZ, but costs too high.

So we stick with Safety.com - after all, that sort of service suffices for most US airfields!

Would pay the market rate for an airband frequency if we were allowed to bid at auction for it.

(Scottish Television once bid - and won - their TV licence for just £1)
