On ZB215 yesterday FAO-LGW the aircraft appeared to be in a right wing slightly down cruise for quite a bit of the flight. The captain said we had a 110 mph tailwind.
I have done this sector probably 70 times and never noticed this before. I conducted my own highly technical research by lying my wine bottle on the tray and it rolled off to the right :hmm:
Can any pro shed some light on this please, as I would have thought any rudder input would have counteracted any tail crosswinds (although I am aware that secondary element of yaw is roll)
Cheers.
