I, for one, think that our friends(?) in MoD Procurement are missing a trick in trying to resolve the UK Naval aviation issues.
We could easily afford quite a few of these, all the technology is proven and they are remarkably easy to construct and repair. It even comes complete with inter-service and international operability.

Push those aircraft things over the side (aren't aircraft an RAF thing anyway?), can't have them cluttering up HMS Loxodonta Albus.

Don't be silly. Qinetiq have already been tasked to look at this in the last parliament. The research contract was costed at 137 million pounds, and came up with the conclusion that paper gets soggy when wet, thus compromising its structural integrity.
The government of the day were therefore forced to proceed with the conventional steel approach.
