Died today and lost his battle with cancer. A true aviation legend and one of the best men in aviation history.

Rest in peace Arnie, a true aviator.

The skies are a better place with you in them.

Quite a guy - a 'real' pilot. Here's to you, Arnie.

:(
Came across as a very decent fellow on the shows I've seen him on.
Wasn't his daughter also quite sick? Hope she's coping okay.

Tragic irony - he retired to spend more time with his daughter who had cancer, thankfully she's in long term remission/cured.

Blue skies Arnie.

I was really sad to hear the news that Arnie passed away.... I always told my wife when seeing the show that "this is what a real pilot does for a living"...non of that hi-tech fancy stuff the rest of are "flying"....

RIP Arnie and I really hope your daughter is recovering well!

First beer tonight will be in memory of you Arnie....
