Hi
Not sure if this is the right forum but here goes.
My Dad, henry crun, said the Meteor T7, (he used to fly these), would beat a Douglas A4K Skyhawk to 30,000 feet. Is this true? Does anyone know where I can find the information?
I maintain that the low wing loading of the Hawker Hunter would allow it to turn better than the Douglas A4 Skyhawk. However I am having trouble proving this to a colleague in the office. Can anyone supply this information or tell me where it is lurking because my research has not turned up anything so far.
Regards
Mark

IIRC (and I have been a "film star" on RSAF Hunter cine at least once, pipper on the canopy-not fun) Hunter turned better above about 15000ft.
Against a Meteor, don't know. It would depend a good bit on the mark of A4: a 408-engined A4 would probably have little trouble, but I really couldn't know.
