Interesting viewpoint here on the Pentagon's Aviation Plan. It attempts to demonstrate that quantity does not always beat quality even with over 3,000 F/A aircraft on the books. The headline refers to the fact that the plan itself cost over a million dollars to produce!

The Pentagon (http://battleland.blogs.time.com/2012/05/01/the-pentagons-million-dollar-aviation-plan/)

...it evidences the Defense Department’s persistent refusal to acknowledge the overriding and fundamental air power issues. Bottom line — America’s combat aviation inventory and our air combat capability are:

– Decaying.
– Growing smaller and older.
– Becoming ever more costly.

That's what you have to pay for rocket scientists I guess......

Maybe some of our experts went abroad. How else would you pay so much to people to tell you what you already knew, and was quite obvious anyway?:hmm:
