View Full Version : old beeches Mr Milk 22nd Apr 2012, 13:01 Did anyone snap up a bargain at the auctions on friday? shame to see VH-FIE in a state like that.....same for the old queenair. Ex FSO GRIFFO 22nd Apr 2012, 15:18 From the ad., VH-FIE was for sale by Tender...... If only those 6 numbers had come in.... :ok: p.s. Tenders close at 10am in the morning....if ya quick..!! (Mon 23rd) tinpis 22nd Apr 2012, 21:58 Harsh but them IOSC can turn their innards into a thin but savoury broth quicktime. Would be better to use frames now filled with cement and used as a boat mooring Mr Milk 26th Apr 2012, 04:15 Come now tinny you dont mean that....some true Australian heritage right there:8 Anyone know anything? Ejector 26th Apr 2012, 04:17 Do you have a link Sir? dude65 26th Apr 2012, 10:53 The Beech and the Queenair both sold. Can't tell you the price. sms777 26th Apr 2012, 23:38 Come on dude......tell us the price son! ;) sms777 27th Apr 2012, 02:31 Does any one know the callsign of the Queenair? I have about ten different ones in my logbook. Mr Milk 27th Apr 2012, 04:07 It was VH-XAT an Excalibur conversion. Awesome aeroplane.... But the wings are due to clap hands next flight according to CASA. So we banish another one from our shores.... sms777 27th Apr 2012, 05:53 Thanks Mr Milk, I have not flown that one. As a matter of interest.....Australia was the only country in the world that imposed spar life on the Queenairs. The life limit depended on engine size. I never heard of one crashing anywhere in the world due to spar failure. I believe CASA has finally lifted it recently :ok: dude65 27th Apr 2012, 06:12 It's not that I won't tell you the price 777, it's that I can't. They did both sell though CHAIRMAN 27th Apr 2012, 11:32 Someone here must know. I like to keep track of old aircraft current pricing:hmm: |
