Ever wondered how Cathay found this wonderful system.

Quoted from the IBS website white paper on " Staff travel is no longer non-rev"

Conclusion
Next time you think about the reduced load factor on your aircraft and possible solutions, focus on those special revenue passengers over who you have absolute control and predictability on. Make use of your own employees to add more value to your flights. The airline world has started seeing staff travelers differently. Many staff travel teams have already moved under revenue management – Do you think you should wait?

Great company, offering a great benefit....... think again.

It's no secret that all Cathay Pacific staff travel revenue goes directly into the personal account of "John Swire & Sons" the holding company.

However, all staff travel costs are borne by Cathay Pacific Airways.

... waitlisted bookings must register 2 TWO hours before flight or lose priority ???

Aren't all staff listings 'listings' technically waitlisted / STL ?
