can anybody point me towards corporate job openings in HKG? In particular BBJ or even 319CJ

There are plenty, and growing.

The issue becomes the visa; if I understand it correctly, the regulatory body (HKCAD), doesn't issue licenses without the right to live & work here, therefore you would have to find someone to sponsor your visa without you being professionally qualified.

Those who have a permanent HKID, either through being local, or 7 years sponsored, are free to work wherever in HK. Consequently, they are the focal point for the business aviation recruitment.

I wouldn't let that stop you from trying, though - it is a a rapidly growing sector here. I've met a few guys doing it, most having worked for an airline here before. Some have never looked back, but some, unfortunately, are regretful. Bound to be the case, really.

Do you guys know what the minimum requirements are for the above carriers.

You need about 3000 TT and 500 jet for most corp jobs in hkg

Is a type rating required for these jobs LHS or is airline jet command sufficient?

As with ANY job, submit your resume, see what you get. Who cares what the published minimums are. If they are advertising, they are looking. Submit your stuff, and go from there if you get a reply.

But surely a quick cyber query of red light green light wrt type ratings would save all parties concerned a lot of time and hassle?

Knocking on doors goes along way to. 1000 of cv's come from airlines to corp companies, if you want it front up and meet and greet!
