KLM Flying Blue

can anyone tell me how to contact the CEO of KLM please, preferably by E-mail as I'm far from normal mail accessm? I'm having a problem getting my Silver level reinstated and all I can get through normal channels are rather patronising replies from people who can't make any kind of decision and won't put you through to someone who can.
Does anyone remember when KLM ran their Flying Blue themselves, wasn't there a time when if you had held a level for a certain amount of time you retained it regardless? Or am I thinking amount something else?
Would I be correct in thinking that Flying Blue is run by Air France these days and not KLM?
I'm a full fare paying passenger, would BA give me reasonable level to get my custom?

Forgive me, but are you suggesting they grant you a higher level to gain or retain your custom.

Actually what I am looking for is to retain my current level, which is not high but has certain benefits, as a recognition of almost 22 years of consistent full fare custom. I have been informed by KLM that they plan to reduce my level to one without benefits, despite spending something over US$10,000 in the past 12 months. My previous contacts with the airline on the subject were with someone who would not answer reasonable questions.

To be honest I wouldn't bother. Flying Dutchman was an excellent FF programme but when it became Flying Blue it went downhill right quick and have continued to do so ever since.

Every year they find new ways of reducing miles earned and the value of already earned miles while making it more difficult to spend any of them. Then they try to sell you the changes as an improvement.

The only value you get from Gold or Silver is lounge access where you can treat yourself to being patronized by a very important receptionist if that is your thing. If you travel on business class it adds no value whatsoever.

Flying Poo is a well earned nickname.

I gave up on Flying Blue long ago after being very rudely patronised by a KL lounge dragon who thought she was far more important than the passengers she was supposed to be serving.

British Airways Executive Club seems to be a far more convivial set-up. The staff are infinitely more courteous and KLM's and the BA Galleries facilities are arguably some of the best available.

If you are indeed spending £10K a year you should attain BA Silver within a very short time indeed. Gold will surely follow!

I've had the same experience many a time with the KLM dragons. The staff on reception at the Schiphol lounge have never been anything other than rude and arrogant.

As far as earning miles, it's pathetic how little you get for a flight nowadays. Unless you spend extortionate amounts on your fare you only get 25% of the miles flown, which means for a transatlantic flight you're lucky to get more than 900miles. When you then need in the region of 50,000 miles to book a reward flight, it makes it very hard to get any.

Well thanks to information and comments from this forum I have found out if I book with another 'Sky Team' member I can travel on exactly the same flights, at approxiamately the same price, and get 50% more miles. Yes, there is life after FB!

You need to be platinum for 10 years to get it for life. Thats a lot of flying! Was Gold for a while, but back down to basic again. Never spent any of the miles - the taxes made it not worth it :(
