maybe if you have the time, you could venture into the heartlands. The MRT system connects just about anywhere in SIN.
Walk around the different estates in SIN, there should be stuff to do & see

Try Orchard Plaza - after 9 pm starts to get interesting.
Military museum at Paya Lebar not bad either.

Singapore's OK to visit, but living here does pall after a while.

Orchard Towers is the obvious recommendation, if you are here on a Sunday afternoon you might care to try the Tea Dances.

Brix in the Grand Hyatt, but only after midnight.

SIN is a FINE city provided you have a $ in your pocket. You can eat cheaply at Hawker centres but once you get 'downtown' and hit the bars, clubs, restaurants it can get real expensive, real quick.

Boring? It's like anyplace else. It's what you decide to make of it. A little sterile and characterless maybe, but on the other hand, clean, low crime and low taxes.

Basement at the Paramount always used to be a bit of an 'eye opener' - but it's been a while!:ok:

becoming harder to negotiate a price with. Geylang is a poor
man's OT but some real good deals can be made with equally
stunning Thais, esp after midnight (again so I've heard). :\

The Subway system is very good. It closes on the airport line. (well used to) late at night for about 6 hours.

Book a hotel near a station and use that if you only have carry on. Just remember, do not littler. It is a a very safe city but big bucks for a good party time.

To be fair, (a) I only have secondhand experience of OT, and (b) everything in Singapore is expensive. I'm just looking at a bill from a night out last week and wondering if I can claim it - "Happy Hour" bottles of Asahi S$11 or close to six quid...
