Oly320 7th Jul 2012, 12:12 There is nobody that would like to share some info with us on the interview and sim ride? Really noone??
Chip Lite 15th Jul 2012, 22:08 Well first of all I'd brush up on your English language! Then think about it what do you think they are going to want to see? Would it be an engine failure at take-off, flown back to the same runway and for some reason the autopliot malfunctions! Or do you think it wil be a lavatory fire? Good Luck.
Mac72 16th Jul 2012, 12:35 been called for interview 14/15 of aug at lgw, any tips on the sim profile?
im 320 rated
power.r 16th Jul 2012, 19:11 Do you have hours on type??
Mac72 16th Jul 2012, 19:57 Yes but not a lot
a320renewal 17th Jul 2012, 18:03 I doubt they hire, if they do, it 's probably to see who is on this market.
it doesn't mean they hire! view their 10'000 applicants in their database, they have the choice.
if they were hiring, everybody would hire...
pilotdreamer2 22nd Jul 2012, 19:23 Anyone willing to share some information regarding simulator assessment?
What airport, what type of approaches? (I'm rated on Airbus 320)
What about the technical questions?
Would be grateful if someone share some info.
I have read through many threads BUT NO INFO REGARDING INTERVIEW PROCESS?
Many thanks;)
windonsoul 23rd Jul 2012, 13:57 I have been called for an interview with wizz air, they scheduled me the interview without the telephone check, I have done only the Online test based on wizz company questions and general atpl questions (interactions between speed IAS, TAS, Mnumber as temperature drops, altitude increase, ect).
We were somewhere between 15 guys most of them non rated on the A320 ( wich I think is a plus...knowing that you will have to pay them for the type + line) coming from eastern Europe just one or two cadets. only half passed the human resource and theory interview but mostly because I think they were too old and not that flexible on the low salaries of wizz...
HR ( very nice lady) asks usual questions... why with us, what do you expect from us, any major failures in life..how did you cope with it, actual employer, ect....Theory (one slim and one big guy) they can ask general system questions for a320 rated and some CAT 1 or 2 minima, gs mini function on a320..Theory for guys non rated atpl and general question...what would you do if....and system of airplane currently flying, anyway not very hard stuff.
Now comes the hard part simulator; London (Lutton) airports usually (same 2 guys)... for rated guys they go very extreme: wind shear at takeoff, single engine (fire that doesn't stop or failure if you are lucky), extreme turbulence, very very hard to maintain speed and altitude, everything while have to do ECAM action and ect... on landing loss of brakes. For guys non rated easy stuff of course: turns, power settings while climb, descend, landing.... they look for coordination and sensibility with power and joystick I think. they give you answers in about 7-14 days. Good Luck!!! be motivated, be confident.
pilotdreamer2 23rd Jul 2012, 17:44 Windonsoul,
Thanks for your feedback, very appreciated.:ok:
inner 23rd Jul 2012, 18:33 Applied few months ago. Have experience, although not on airbus. Never got a phonecall. Dont know what they r looking for??? Guess my age is a problem (35):(
eaglesnest1972 23rd Jul 2012, 19:50 Hi Windonsoul,
What do you mean when you mention the age of candidates?
In your point of view, any chance for a 39 pilot, rated and with time on type?
Thanks
Eurocargo 25th Jul 2012, 03:40 Hi eaglesnest1972,
I am 37, I have 1500 TT and only 265 hours on 320 and now I am working for wizz.
So go and give it a try. :ok:
johnvrts 17th Aug 2012, 12:45 Hi guys, any news from you that attended the selcection with Wizz air ?
the wise wizz interview and sim goes like this.
Interview, they check your back round which airlines you have been before,
It helps if u have a major airline on your CV.
Then technical ,they ask you about memory items, Lvps like how many lights you
have to see during approach on cat 2 or cat 3
They can ask you to draw any of the schematics of the aircraft systems, fuel
electrics, bleed etc,
Some limitations, other questions on runaway lights, and maybe radio failure
Procedures.
Sim, if you are not rated they check basic attitude flying if you have no jet hours, if you are non rated with jet hours they check raw data flying with
auto thrust off on the ils,
If you are rated but not so many hours and not so ready for command they give
you engine vibration after take off and before you intercept the ils auto thrust
off and fd guidance without Ap.
Now then, if you have plenty of experience the deal is engine fire on take off followed by wind shear toga and heavy turbulence all the way until landing.
The auto pilot and auto thrust fails once you complete the engine out procedure
And the fire wont go out.
It helps if your pnf its switched on and it's not someone way below standards.
I hope all this helps .
MSX555 28th Dec 2012, 22:13 Hi, just to check if you guys have any info on the process.
Kindest regards
ClearedToCrush 29th Dec 2012, 07:28 How did you guys apply? Did you fill an online application? Or there is a contact email that you sent your cv?
MSX555 30th Dec 2012, 08:08 Hi, just go to this web and fill in the blanks ;)
Good luck!

Scanwing 30th Jan 2013, 14:38 Did any of you rated guys got the job offer in the end? How would you rate the simride on a difficulty scale 1-5? Is it direct employment or via agency?
Scanwing 2nd Feb 2013, 06:06 Anyone that resently got through the process that are willing to share som info?
Tech interview is about om-a stuff, minima, planning, fuel... HR interview just a relaxed chat about yourself, possibly some "give me an example of.." questions. Sim could be a standard lpc scenario with engine out during take off manual ils go around and then non precision appr, or if you are more experienced something a bit more difficult and with some decision making involved. nice people straight forward process. relax be yourself and enjoy. good luck.
(p.s. of course could have changed in the mean time)
MSX555 16th Feb 2013, 21:50 Thanks for the feedback!
What about the technical questionnaire?
;)
dirk85 17th Feb 2013, 09:23 I applied a few weeks ago and I was asked not moo much time after to submit CV and fill a form through the application website, with other info, breakdown of hours, license etc.
Non type rated FO.
Does that mean I have a chance to get called for the interview? Any idea of how long I can expect to wait for it?
MSX555 18th Feb 2013, 09:13 Hi dirk, same same here.
There is supposed to be an online technical questionnaire first.
Good luck!
dirk85 18th Feb 2013, 09:21 Hi!
I have read something about the online test, but I don't seem to be able to find any more info about it in order to prepare myself.
Some other people seem to have had a preliminary phone interview without the online test.
Go figure...
fabmpl 20th Feb 2013, 10:58 Hi Guys !
I applied 10 days ago for the cadet programme, and still no answer whereas some of my friends have already got negative reply. How long did you wait before being asked to fill in the form and send a CV ? Does the online test come before or after submitting the CV ?
Thanks for your help & good luck to all.
dirk85 20th Feb 2013, 21:45 I waited maybe a couple of weeks before being asked to put my CV.
No sign of online test so far...
Hi there!
I have a question to you. I applied to Wizz a long long time ago, when they had open position for cadet (2010). Now, when they opened once again position for cadet, I reapplied to update my information. My status is still on file but imho should be submitted for requisition.. Am I right? Is there any of you in the same situation?
I've received an e-mail from them that they accepted it. Appreciate any feedback!
dirk85 22nd Feb 2013, 10:53 As far as I remember my status went to "submitted for requisition" straight after the application or shortly after...
Thanks Dirk,
My status connected to the position is also Submitted for.... but I'm worried about a general status which is On file. Eh, Taleo system is really .... unpleasant :O
Pilot1002 12th Apr 2013, 10:08 Hey guys, I donīt understand, but I wether have an online test nor a phone interview. I applied 3rd of Nov. 2012 and they invited me to a personal interview on 26th of April and A320 Simride on 27th of April.
How can I prepare for this assesment? Please help...
fungi 25th Apr 2013, 12:40 Hi everybody. I have some technical question regarding taleo system:
I fill out the blanks, and applied for FO position. System said that my application has been send, even they send me pass on my email.
Now, when I'm trying to log in, It says wrong pass. When I'm trying to reset password, there is no email back to me, and when I'm trying to fill out the form again it says, that my Email is already registered.
Also they don't reply on my email sent to them.
Does anybody had the same problem?
