Emirates Dubai to Dublin

Emirates must be very busy on the Dubai to Dublin sector because due to overbooking my daughter could not get on board yesterday Monday 2nd April.
She had booked weeks earlier and had travelled from Sydney and made a stopover in Dubai for one week.
They are presently using a 330-200. Looks like they might have to use a larger aircraft soon?

Capacity increase was mentioned on the 30th Jan in the Dublin thread - 777s from 1st July.

Emirates launched this route with some amazing offers. In January they were offering return flights to Hong Kong for 450EUR for travel up to June. I managed to book a couple of flights for 410EUR as they were also offering Skywards members a 10% discount.

I suspect that these promotional fares are at least partially responsible for the full loads which I have experienced on every Emirates flight to and from Dublin since they began. Either way, good to see the route is successful as flights are now 700EUR plus!
