Just phoned for PPR (first time for a couple of years) and was told landing fee for a C172 is now £118.00 + other charges which I missed hearing because of the shock! Any advice anyone on if this is correct or is there an alternative at EMA that is more sensible?
Thanks

If you want to fly to deepest darkest Lincs, our airfield (RAFC Cranwell) charge £40 landing fee and need at least 24hrs PPR. There are other airfields around but I don't know anything of their charges etc. I am sure some other more well travelled pilots out there will be here soon!

East Midlands + FBO charges about £150 including VAT.
See what I mean when you sell off your airports?

Thanks Grob Queen but infact I need to pick up family from an international inbound flight, hence the choice of EMA.

Ahhh, well our airfield is probably not the best then!!! ;)

Have you considered Nottingham Robin Hood?

Have you tried calling Donair and asking to park with them, they may well be able to organise a cheaper fee for you.

Agree with Nick14, I am sure Donair must be able to offer lower prices than that. Give them a call on 01332 812499 and see if they can help you out. If not then Tattenhill is not too far by car, but could be expensive in a taxi, also other options would include Nottingham and Derby.

Tollerton (Nottingham) and Derby are your two nearest options I'm afraid.
