Hi All

I have an FAA "airplane" PPL. At the moment I can use it to fly G-reg aeroplanes. When the EASA rules come in to force I don't believe I will be able to fly an EASA aircraft on my FAA PPL, but will I still be able to fly a G-reg Annexe II aeroplane (eg a homebuilt)?

I've read the CAA's latest booklet on licencing but it doesn't mention FAA licences in there.

Does anyone know the answer?

Thanks

According to a CAA presentation I went to last night, the present ability to fly a G-reg on any ICAO PPL will remain for a while - April 2014 or 2015; I don't remember which.

Annex 2 - maybe for ever? It's totally up to the CAA, and there is no reason they should pull that concession, having been happy with it for decades.
