Make sure you come back to PPrune and let us know what it's like outside this mob. Well done and good luck for the future. crwass 28th Mar 2012, 23:17 In the 700-800 range geh065 29th Mar 2012, 00:45 Missed out on command? Steve the Pirate 29th Mar 2012, 01:43 Missed out on command?Oooh, someone dared ask the question that was crossing everyone's mind. :) That said, if crwass is leaving simply because he/she has had a belly full then fair enough. I hope that the grass really is greener on the other side of the fence but somehow I doubt it. STP pasa001 29th Mar 2012, 03:13 My mate missed out on his command in this outfit, three and a half years later he's a skipper on a wide-body A/C at his new outfit. He hasn't looked back and he's extremely happy. Adam Nams 29th Mar 2012, 04:16 If you're not happy.... Stop bitchin and carrying on. Leave. Well said. Whatever your reasons, best of luck. iceman50 29th Mar 2012, 09:29 pasa001 Which outfit and which widebody? crwass 29th Mar 2012, 12:21 I'm in the left seat pasa001 29th Mar 2012, 12:33 In the desert and a B777. Cheers stillalbatross 29th Mar 2012, 23:55 300 permanent F/Os in the company that at some instance in their CX career got on the wrong side of somebody. It's not like he's all on his own. Orangputi 30th Mar 2012, 02:26 he did say he is in the left seat Yeager 31st Mar 2012, 00:18 Well done chap! :ok: Mate, this is probably one of the best decisions in your life. I left in 2008 and have never looked back - great decision. As you said, crwass - life's to short :ok: :p Truckmasters 31st Mar 2012, 03:03 I miss many of the line crews, there are some great people. Then there is some I don't! I don't miss the long sleeve checks. And I really don't miss dealing with the company. It does seem daunting to consider it when you first think about leaving a legacy carrier. However and most importantly, I have never once regretted leaving. I don't come back to this forum much, however the first poster is correct. If it is not working for you, life is too short, find something else to do and enjoy it. The Messiah 31st Mar 2012, 04:06 I left.......and have never looked back If I left an airline I hated working at I sure as sh#t wouldn't keep visiting the forum occupied by their employees after I'd gone. No regrets? Hmmm. Angst? Most definitely. There is a lesson right there. If you feel leaving is the best option for you then do it, like all airlines these days it's just a job, but don't look back like we see others doing. As far as I'm concerned I go to work and go home and get on with my life on my days off. My circle of friends include only a few good CX people and the money goes in the bank every month, just like it has from the day I joined. Before you leave try asking yourself what is it that you want to get out of this job and is it attainable somewhere else? Maybe the entire line of work is wrong for you? Good luck. bila 1st Apr 2012, 02:58 If you feel leaving is the best option for you then do it, like all airlines these days it's just a job, but don't look back like we see others doing. Well said Messiah! :ok: Did exactly the same. crwass 1st Apr 2012, 04:10 Yeager, Truckmaster, Thanks gents, kind words...Thankyou and good on you Yeager for leaving as well. Messiah, Fair point. No, this company and all it stands for ain't working for me anymore. When my $$$ roll in you can fly me first class somewhere though! Workin' for this company ain't gonna make the buck$. Look after yourself first I say. Anyway, cheers, and all the guys below me are now one closer to their command slot, or will be pretty soon Tallyho |
