When a cockpit is modified to have NVG compatible lighting is it normal practice to also make whatever fire warning lights are present NVG compatible? Like the red lights in the overhead levers of an EC155 or AW139 or the FIRE lights on the instrument panel of a EC135/145. Is there a situation where an emergency in the cockpit, such as an engine fire, trumps flying under the goggles?

Are you trying to say that your NVG modified cockpit is not daylight readable? If so, you have a bad mod and probably should not have been certified.
The really interesting thing is that if you have Class B filtered NVG, the mod is not really needed, but still required by regulations.
