Alan Mann of "Alan Mann Helicopters" passed away on Tuesday night.
Although I popped a note into a Rotorheads thread there may be other who remember Alan from the Fixed Wing side and his other interests. I'm sure other Obituaries will appear but this is from the Sports Car Digest

I started my aviation career with Alan Mann at Fairoaks back in 1982; I too have fond memories of him; he was highly respected and a great inspiration to us all. RIP Alan
