I'm guessing 17 weeks and 7% this year ;)

You mean a 7% paycut, and we give them 17 weeks because we will only make half a billion-ish dollars?

Tough times indeed.... (sarcasm)

0 and 0 , blame it on increase fuel cost and the 380 wing cracks. Airbus is not covering the total lose of rev. Fuel cost is BS, unless hedging went wrong somewhere.

But they will only make 1 Bil US profit and call it a bad year!

No Profit share, no salary increase and probable recruitment freeze to boot.....

FWIW, outstation staff advised by memo, from a quote from HH at the 1000th B777 ceremony, that there will be a pay freeze for the group for the 12/13 FY.

you guys are too negative. I'm guessing 4 weeks and 6 percent.

They have to give us something to save face. Also since the company are going with 100 plus DECs and delaying FOs upgrades by at least a year they have to give a payraise to get qualified pilots to join.
Probably 4 weeks to go with their $1.5 Billion profit and a 4-5% payraise.

Looks like about 80% of the companies surveyed plan to give a pay raise. Etihad pilots just received a bonus of 4 weeks. I'd be surprised if ek was one of the few companies in the UAE not to give a raise.

gulfnews : Expect a salary increase this year (http://gulfnews.com/business/my-career/expect-a-salary-increase-this-year-1.992223)

gulfnews about GCC payrises

All fine, but if most UAE or GCC companies give nice pay rises, we will probably be branded a "semi-UAE" company, due to our global exposure.
So not comparable at all to "real" UAE companies .... and no pay rise.

We are govt servants ( remember the UAE ID fines). We will get a nice payrise, increased costs of living payout and a nice bonus. Cheer up guys.

Do we have a date for the announcement of the profit share/payrise whatever yet? I seem to recall it is usually around the 20th of April.

No news can be expected until the usual time around the end of the first week of May, as it has been since I joined the mob more than a few years ago.

My guess 2 weeks for saving of face (thanks to the guys getting some crumbs at EY), and 5% including the 'annual' step.

Discuss.............

Most hope you are right, but I'm going with 0 and 0, greed will win the day

If the recruitment is not..problematic I suspect 0 bonus (nowhere near the high targets set) and just the yearly step...Hope I'm wrong...

EY gets more per hour than EK, EK higher base, my guess they are about even on pay for @ 80-90hr/m.

Once again I make a point that most EK pilots don't seem to give a s%^t about.
PRODUCTIVITY PAY!!!!!
Do you not realize how much EK has stolen from you??
Do you all have so much money that it doesn't matter.
This is a great job, don't get me wrong but, at the same time we are being screwed with the overtime pay.

To A.S.
I sat in a meeting with you over 3 years ago when you had just released a letter about moving the hours on the productivity pay. Maybe you will never admit to this but you certainly made it sound like it was a temporary measure as we were going through some tough times.
Your quote was "ask not what the company can do for you but what can you do for the company"

Well after over 3 years of being shafted by the company with productivity pay and a cheesy cliche by JFK I am now asking you "what can the company do for me?"

I use to fly with a company that was beyond cheap. They are now laughing at me because of the fact I need to fly over 92 hours in a 31 day month before receiving productivity pay. Seriously?????

Mr A.S. please feel free to PM me.

They will keep lying to our face. That's the only way they can keep this big mess going... The worst are the idiots that believe them. The best is yet to come :D
