You missed by at least 1000 ft - that's the important bit! Which airline has that facility please?

Emirates did it on 777s in 97 and 98, two views, both downwards and forwards (was on one of the last flights into Kai Tak .... WOW !!!!!!).

Dunno if they still do.

Saudi have it on their 777's at least, both forward and downward pointing cams.

EK. has it on their B777's and A380 the later also has a camera on the vertical stab which provides awesome pictures.

The comment was meant tongue in cheek, i've not contacted the Daily Mail just yet!

It was on Emirates A330 from DXB to MAN last Sat, somewhere over the Alps! i'd been flicking through the channels and noticed we were flying over some contrails, next minute this plane appeared!

All the Emirates planes we travelled on (777 and A380) had this facility. The vertical stabiliser camera on the A380 does indeed provide awesome pictures, its just a shame our flight was at night.

For ten points, though; what is it? BA Airbus?

AF have external cameras on their A380, including a downward facing one. While the night time take off from JNB was very interesting to watch from the tail camera, the next 12 hours of mainly overcast night-time Africa did not provide a great journey for me to fully take advantage of the downward view camera. :}

My last flights on Turkish and Etihad both had them. They should ask someone to wipe those lenses once in a while though! :*

Do planes ever get a bath?

But I don't really look forward to the Cameras as much as I did to the Inflight ATC-Channels. Does anyone still have those?
