Just had a call from a friend at Sepinggan International Airport, Balikpapan Kaltim, Indonesia, to say a Batavia aircraft had gone off the runway. Airport is closed. No other info.

I believe the flight was Y6-883 from Denpasar - Balikpapan - Guangzhou being performed by Batavia Air A320 PK-YVE. Supposedly couldn't stop at the end of the runway and moved into the softer area ahead. Supposedly the same aircraft had a similar incident on Feb 7th at Jayapura.

The aircraft was still there 24 hrs later.
